Who builds this

GridProfile is built and run by Jimmy Wigerstedt. One person, one data pipeline, no sales team.

The pipeline polls DOE's ODIN feed and the public outage maps of 70+ utilities and 90+ electric cooperatives around the clock. When a utility reports an outage with a known service area, GridProfile intersects it against an index of 164 million U.S. addresses to resolve the event down to the specific streets, and homes, that lost power. No public source publishes that history at street level; utilities erase their own outage maps the moment power is restored.

The product exists because solar, battery, and generator installers kept asking the same question the public data couldn't answer: which doors near me actually lost power, and when? Everything GridProfile sells, the weekly street reports and the per-home lead lists, is a different cut of that one answer.

I write about what the data shows on the Insights blog and on Substack.
