Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of gridprofile.com, the free territory report, and any paid subscription. By submitting the form or starting a subscription, you agree to them.
Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
- Subscriptions are monthly, billed in advance, and renew automatically each month until you cancel.
- The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. We'll email you before any change takes effect.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your subscription page, or by replying to any email we send you.
- After you cancel, your weekly reports continue through the end of the billing period you've already paid for — you don't lose access mid-month. No further charges are made after that, and prior charges are non-refundable.
Free reports
The one-time free territory report is provided as-is. We may update, throttle, or discontinue it at any time without notice.
Data accuracy and disclaimers
This is the part to read carefully.
GridProfile is a relay, not a verifier. We aggregate, normalize, and format grid event data as it is reported by the originating utilities and government agencies — primarily the US Department of Energy's EAGLE-I archive and ODIN real-time feed, plus direct utility filings and electric cooperative reports. We map this data to ZIP-level geography and pair it with US Census demographics, but we do not independently verify individual events and we have no access to ground truth beyond what these sources publish.
You acknowledge that:
- Reported events may contain errors, omissions, late entries, or revisions made by the underlying utility after we've already delivered the data to you.
- Cause classifications, customer-affected counts, and durations are reported by the utility and may not reflect the actual on-the-ground situation.
- Census demographic data is statistical and represents estimates, not real-time household status.
- ZIP-level rankings and any derived metrics inherit the inaccuracies present in the underlying reports.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GridProfile makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the data we deliver. We take no responsibility for how this data is interpreted or used.
Using the data
You're free to use the reports we deliver for your own sales, marketing, planning, and research. We just ask that you don't resell or republish the raw CSVs and PDFs as a standalone product, and that any outreach you do — calls, texts, or email — complies with the laws that apply where you operate. Outreach compliance is your responsibility, not ours.
To the extent permitted by law, GridProfile is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the data, and total liability is capped at the amount you've paid in the three months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change. For material changes affecting paid subscribers, we'll notify you by email before the next billing cycle.
